I really should finish up with the coverage of my parents’ visit. Perhaps if I take long enough to blog it all, it will help to feel that we’re stretching out their time here! Ok, not the case but it was worth a shot. I’ll just end up the commentary of their trip with some photos of our last couple of outings.
Just a few days before they left we did a beach day and a zoo day. Our good friends the Normans served as our tour guides for the beach day. We’d never been to this one before. It was fabulous. It had nearly the same crystal blue water and white sand as the beaches in Cancun where we went on our honeymoon.
I hadn’t been anticipating much beach time when we set out that morning. Our last beach visit was pretty chilly so I sort of thought it would be the same. Well it wasn’t. It was completely gorgeous. The weather was warm as was the water. So what do you do when you’re at an amazing beach with no suitable swim gear?
You go in anyway! To say that we had fun would be the understatement of the year. It was a blast and a half! The girls have been asking to go back ever since!
We also went to the zoo that same weekend. We hadn’t been there yet and it was a lot of fun. It was really only our second outing with the whole family all together–going anywhere would have been fun!
As you can see, there was no shortage of photo ops while my parents were in town. We had such a great time with them and are so thankful they were willing to come all the way down here! It was a great visit, and though there were countless memorable experiences, I think it’s time that I wrap up the coverage of their stay. Hope you’ve enjoyed it!

Your visit to the beach looks like so much fun! I’ve only been to the ocean once in my life, and although it was pretty, it wasn’t nearly as pretty as the beach in your pictures!
It was so much fun catching up on your blog! Congratulations on a little boy!!!! He is adorable! Looks like you guys are doing well and are loving your gorgeous weather.
Arizona is sunny as always, we can’t complain. Best wishes for a happy new year. Keep in touch.
wow! That beach looks seriously AMAZING!!! I am jealous
